1 Day: Mombasa/Diani – Malindi & Gede Ruins – Return
Depart early from your hotel and drive approximately 125 km north of Mombasa, passing through large sisal plantations and coastal villages.
Your first stop is the historic Gede Ruins, an ancient Swahili-Arab town hidden within a dense forest. Explore the mysterious remains of mosques, houses, and palaces dating back to the 12th century.
Continue to Malindi and visit the iconic Vasco da Gama Pillar, one of the oldest European monuments in Africa, offering stunning views of the Indian Ocean.
Proceed to Malindi Marine National Park, where you will enjoy a glass-bottom boat ride over vibrant coral reefs. Depending on the tide, you will have the opportunity to snorkel and observe colorful marine life.
Enjoy lunch at a local coastal hotel.
In the afternoon, visit the Malindi Falconry, home to a variety of exotic birds, reptiles, and animals.
After the tour, begin your return journey to Mombasa or Diani Beach, arriving in the evening.
